Mossley vs Salford - Manchester Premier Cup

On a chilly night the ones who braved the cold witnessed an entertaining cup final. The game began with chances for both sides which many fell wide. The first real chance was to come from the penalty spot after Sam Hind was tripped. Gary Gee calmly placed the ball in the back of the net. Cue the Mossley Ultras. For the rest of the first half Mossley dominated the play and possession.

Salford, disappointed by their first half performance, came out in good spirit but their fans were drowned out by the travelling Mossley support. Salford, much more attacking, had quite a few openings but all were covered by the inform Russell Saunders, Mossley were unable to carve open any real chances. Chris browns effort was chalked off but Sam Madeley made no mistake when he slotted home and he celebrated in style. Salford weren't going home without a fight and their efforts were rewarded with several chances but Mossley's keeper kept them in the game as long as he could, until Brad Robinson gave Salford a fighting chance and the equaliser was looming and it came from Danny White. Penalties would decide the game.

Tense penalties were to decide the game with all the fans excited but nervous about the prospects of penalties but Mossley prevailed as the winner of the game as Ashley young converted their 4th penalty which had won them the Cup.
