Stockport Sports entertained a very youthful Bury XI and it was the home side that made the early attacking play as they threatened the Bury goal all throughout the game. New signing James McShane
made much of the early running to agonislingly to see all chances go wide. The first goal came from an another McShane chance the save relieved that danger but the ball rised just for Jakub Warchyka to head
it home for Sports' first pre-season goal. The visitors grew into the game but offsides were going against them but they made their chances pay as they scored late in the first half to level the scores. Stockport Sports missed a penalty in the half as the goalkeeper rushed out and took down the Sports striker. Jimmy Holden took the honours but his soft penalty was saved with a good stop from the visitors keeper.
