Mossley played host to Conference North side Altrincham for a pre-season friendly. Altrincham fielded a strong first-half team and it was Kyle Perry who opened the scoring with a neat volley over Saunders in the Mossley goal. But it was the Lilywhites who scored next through sub Kayde Coppin as he latched onto a through ball to make it 1-1.Half-Time: Mossley 1-1 Altrincham
The second half team fielded from Altrincham consisted of much of the youth team and it wasn't until the 71st minute when Mossley scored through a lob goal; to make it 2-1. Altrincham responded quickly as a free kick was swung in and the ball was hit across the box and a slight touch from Brown made it 2-2.
